Welcome to my author page.
This last year has been an interesting one. I took a break to explore different genres of writing and while I thought I would go down the route of dark or paranormal fiction, I ended up circling back to my favourite genre, Fantasy.
My break from writing was largely down to issues with my mental health. I was fixating a lot on the negativity in the world and it took time for me to learn how to focus on my own goals in life again.
I also couldn’t find what I wanted to write about. My mind was in a big jumble and thankfully,
it now seems to be un-jumbling (let’s pretend that’s a word for a moment) itself.
I recently created a separate author website, which I’ll be adding to as the month progresses.

Writing to Date
During my teenage years, I wrote multiple novellas. I never published them but always produced one print copy for myself.
Of three novels I’ve so far self-published, the one I’m most proud of is currently available online.
The Flame Queen is a Medieval Fantasy set in the four realms of a magical land, Peradon. It was originally meant to be a four part series, but due to my aforementioned mental health issues, I’ve decided to keep it as a standalone.
Although I did originally write and publish a sequel, it ended on an awkward cliffhanger, so I decided to remove it from sale.
About me as a writer
Ever since I learned to read and write, I’ve been creating stories in my head.
In primary school, I had a habit of zoning out from lessons, unable to concentrate. Ideas and made up legends would flood my mind like peculiar visions. I took every opportunity to jot down a few sentences describing what I’d imagined.
I continued to do this well into secondary school, even writing on posters on my bedroom wall, in the middle of the night when I couldn’t sleep.
Starting to write Full Stories
I wrote my first short story at age eight and knew then that I wanted to write for the rest of my life. There is nothing that compares to the feeling I get when I write. I find it calming, a way to create a world of my own, where absolutely anything can happen, if I can imagine it.
I consider myself a bit of a perfectionist. If something doesn’t feel right to me, I will spend ages agonizing over it, as much as I don’t want to.
I have a preference for writing
I love crafting a story around an important event that will wreak havoc on the lives of the characters. That may sound a little twisted but it makes for a fun writing experience.
My mind tends to process details first, before basic concepts, so I guess that’s partially why
I’m drawn to the Fantasy genre.
There are so many little details that make up fictional kingdoms and the people that inhabit them.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little better.
